Strictly speaking, this is not a dine out. Just a small cafe in the Balloch castle country park, oh not a cafe coz there was no any seating area, it was just a small shop selling food. And I had my very very very yummy roll and sausage, the crusty rolls that available only in Scotland. Mr Chen had a not very exciting hotdog but a very scottish Irn Bru. Apparently the bees in Balloch likes the Irn Bru very much, as soon as he moved his mouth away from the can, the bees will be there!!! Eventually we need to use an iphone to cover the can in order to get rid of the bees!!! Iphone can do everything!!!

[Dine out in Loch Lomond] The little cafe in Balloch Castle country park

[Dine out in Glasgow] Seewoo Chinese Restaurant
Mr Chen, me and my brother, 3 of us, we ordered a Seafood set for 4 people.
Starts with soup, steam scallops, fried lobsters, steam fish (forgot to take photo sorry), roast pork, roast duck, and fried noodles, and 4 bowls of rice, then we ordered an extra Tofu dish (琵琶tofu, sorry forgot to take photo again)
Such a wonderful dinner, and we even have fruits and cakes for desserts too!!!!
The bill came to £88.80. What a bargain!!!
The best thing is, my brother not having Chinese dinner very often, particular a seafood one. What a treat to him!!! :-)
[Dine out in Glasgow] Frankie and Benny's
This is the first lunch we had when we arrived Glasgow. I found this place only because it is quite near the airport, and I love American's style restaurant which portions are always huge :) it makes me happy.
The first one is garlic bread dough balls, with a "bowl" of butter!!!
And Mr Chen having his full rack of ribs while I was having chicken carbonara calzone.
With 2 drinks, the bill came to £35.85.
Absolutely not bad at all.
Ok, we delayed our dinner to 8pm on that day because of this.

[Dine out in London] Tuli near London Bridge
After going to Thames festival, where supposing we can eat lots of street food, we ended up in a Chinese restaurant near London Bridge. Ok Mr Chen does not like street food :-S
This restaurant is called Tuli. This is a place suggested by one of Mr Chen's work colleagues. As we still can't fix a time to go there together, so we decided we go there by ourselves.
The restaurant, is just a typical Chinese restaurant. The interior, the setting, the decoration, everything is disappointing as usual. Ok never mind. As long as the food is good, then it is good. However, as u can see the pictures above, they are not particularly good. I would simply say, I will never go back there again.
I know we have ordered too much for two people. Again it was all Mr Chen's fault.
First, the roast duck, we ordered half a roast duck, but it was just meat of a breast and a thigh. This is NOT the way we eat roast duck. Half is half with bones. We are Chinese. They should have told us in the first place if they serve roast duck in this way. This is the way western people eat, not us.
Second, the deep fried pig's intestines. Even though it is Mr Chen's fav, he can't finish it. Too dry he said.
Third, Stir fried beef with Ho Fan in Satay sauce. It was the best dish of the day. I mean among the other dishes on our table.
Fourth is Ma Pao tofu, nothing special.
Fifth is Stir fry morning glory veg, nothing special.
Lastly, is Seabass cooked in Szechwan chill oil and spices. It was not hot, not spicy, just not enough spices!!!
We only had tea, we didn't order any other drinks. The bill ended up as £81. What the hell!!!!
Beef madras curry , pakora, cucumber, garlic nan and rice
The beef madras curry is homemade, using madras powder mix. Lots of onions, garlic and shallots added, and two potatoes and extra chillies. Beef is from the lovely M&S. But because their stew cuts are so lean which Mr Chen said he is really disappointed and ordering me never to buy those beef again :-S
The pakora is shop bought, from Asda. 12 pieces of onions and mix veg fillings, only £1, what a bargain!!! Mr Chen was very excited coz he thought I deep fried food at home :-S obviously I didn't, I just grilled them hahaha. Again I hate oil!!!
The garlic nan is from Asda too. Only 60p. We had one piece each. And I can even freeze two pieces in freezer, ready for our next curry meal :-)
With rice and cucumber, lots of coke and orange juice, a very satisfied curry meal which making us to work harder to lose weight, in the next meal :-S
M&S cod fish, leek sausages, pasta with Waitrose's roasted pepper pesto and almond, broccoli, mushrooms
I thought if having cod fish only, Mr Chen may complaint. So I added a few leek sausages which is his favorite.
Recently bought pepper pesto and almond pesto from Waitrose, lovely!!!
Added two portions of veg (5 a day is really important!!!!).
We ended up with a meal in American's portion size, again :-S

Lobster bisque - giant size
Giant size lobster, see the claws!!!
This is the leftover from the Lobster we bought many weeks ago to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They have been sitting in the freezer for quite a long time so I decided to make this lobster bisque. I actually made focaccia bread too but my oven suddenly broken so... sadly the bread ended up in disaster and I had to throw it away :-S
Anyway, back to this lobster bisque, it tasted not very good. I feel like we were eating chicken!!! Things sometimes taste better when they are rare and small. Next year, better to buy a smaller lobster!!
